A dark horse…

Sun’s out and sky’s clearing despite the grim forecast.

We start the day with a craving for pancakes.

American style pancakes. I shouldn’t be surprised, I am in America.
$15 USD$15 USD

Makenzie gets the french toast and a bloody mary to boot.

The bill adds on sales tax and an additional SF health surcharge. Tipping is basically customary here, upwards of 10% is considered normal.

Generally they put your card through, then give you a receipt for you to write down the tip and sign. Then they’ll charge your card for the full amount.

Compulsory Starbucks. Apparently you haven’t fully experienced America until you’ve been to one.
Triple macchiato.
$2.85 USD$2.85 USD

Uber to the south side of the Golden Gate Bridge.
$13.84 USD$13.84 USD total. Or try competitor Lyft.

We’re splitting it so it’s more affordable. Public bus would be $2.75$2.75 each and you need exact change to pay by cash.

Not raining and not too windy. San Francisco fog, what fog?

Made it to the north side. Weather holding out for now.

Don’t see any way to walk down to sea level, so after enjoying the view we head back.

We use the toilets and drinking fountain near the visitor centre before summoning an Uber.

Uber to Union Square for a look around and to find lunch.
$15.55 USD$15.55 USD total.

Stop for coffee and to warm up. This time at Peet’s.
Caramel macchiato.
$4.05 USD$4.05 USD
Plus a free cup of water.

Sea food chowder is also on the San Fran bucket list.

New England style sea food chowder.
$8.67 USD$8.67 USD
I’m a fan of anything that comes served in something you can eat.

Once done eating we make our way back to the room on foot.

Watch some Netflix, and wait out the inevitable rain.

After some internet searching we head out to a bar. San Francisco’s smallest none the less.
The Black Horse London Pub is just down the street from us. It’s pretty full when we arrive, but we’re welcomed in with open arms.

No fridge, no Lagunitas left, cash only.
$7 USD$7 USD for a beer.

A friendly and intimate setting, someone even orders pizza to the bar, the owner James blesses us with a photobomb.

With spirits high and cash running low we mosey on.

It’s raining, and cold, and we getting hungry. So Mexican it is.

Our eyes are bigger than our stomachs. Mexican food and beer.
$40.42 USD$40.42 USD total.

Uber home in the rain.
$6.85 USD$6.85 USD total.

Total spent:  $153.28$153.28
