The road to Oualidia…

9:30am free breakie. Pack, walk to the car.

Stop off for a coffee on the way.
20 MAD20 MAD for a milk coffee.

Hit the road around 11am. The main roads in Morocco are very good. maps.me navigation gives us our first back country road.

Better safe than sorry.

Arrive, or so we think. Followed GPS coordinates for the town not our accom. Luckily Oualidia isn’t very big.

Sweet apartment. No sofa bed, just a lot of sofa. Getting a free tagine for dinner tonight.

Some welcome, Welcome Snacks.

Book surfing for tomorrow.

Go check out the locale.

Beachside parking.
5 MAD5 MAD
Could easily go park further from the beach, but 5 isn’t much.

Locals think we’re Icelandic! They’re selling and cooking seafood on the beach.

Exploring. Chat to a French guy in the rocks about surfing.

Walk and chill on the beach by the lagoon. Pop in for a swim.

Cruise around in the car. Since we won’t be making it to the desert we have a “Sahara” photoshoot in the dunes.

Park up on a very local street.

Get a bread snack. Ask for 10 by mistake.
2 MAD2 MAD for one.

Back to the apartment to shower, relax, and snack.

Guacamole and chips on the terrace.

Free tagine made by our lovely host! Best tagine yet.

Stef gets the bed for doing the food and dishes. Plus she lost the bed toss in India and had to sleep on the floor.

Sleep interrupted by the sound of a washing machine filling. Get up to investigate. Burst water pipe under the sink. Sacrifice our towels to make a dam. Wake Stef to contact our host.

Run tap to reduce leak pressure, and rip the pipe out to divert it into the shower. Still lots of water on the floor.

Host arrives along with Meowson the cat. Water turned off. Gives us a bucket of water for the toilet and a 5 litre bottle of drinking water.

Total spent: 354 MAD354 MAD
