Right on Brighton…

I wake up at 9 in the morning, very hungry. I head to the kitchen in the basement to get my hands on the hostel’s free breakfast: eggs, toast, and jam. Have to cook the eggs myself, but I’m not complaining.

It’s a beautiful, sunny day. I take a stroll along Brighton’s boardwalk and try to find a cup of filter coffee.

I wait at the pier for my friend, Nick, who is taking a while.

Nick arrives, we walk to The Lanes, and watch some cool street performers. They are so good that I have to give them £1£1. They say “thanks” and I give them a thumbs up.

While wandering through The Lanes, I find a cool cronut shop. This croissant-doughnut pastry is a New York invention. I’m reminded of home and have to buy one.

It’s dry and tastes horrible, but I eat it because I paid for it.

We walk around The Lanes, I find a cool fish and chips shaped postcard. I buy two. One for Uncle Joey, one for dad.
Awesome postcards.
£0.70£0.70 each.

We walk back to the pebbled beach and soak in the sun for two or three hours.

The boardwalk is packed with ice cream vendors, so I buy one of those too.
Ice cream.

The ice cream isn’t filling, so we buy a cheap burger on the beach. I was too hungry to take a photo…
